Thomas Don Drake’s Brand The brand was used by Thomas Don Drake starting in 1924 when he moved from Alabama to Texas and started ranching and farming in Hardeman County. Following his death in 1950, the brand was used by Donald Drake his eldest son, as Drake Farms, until his death in 1987. Today the brand continues to be used by Drake Ranch which is family owned and operated by the descendants of Don Drake. |
Kenneth Ewing Drake’s Brand
Upon the death of Don Drake in 1950, the Bar One (- 1 ) brand was used by Don Drake's middle son,Kenneth Ewing Drake, as Drake Ranch until his death in 1968. The Brand continues to be used by Drake Ranch which is family owned and operated by the descendants of Don Drake.
Don Patrick Drake’s Brand
The brand is used by Drake Ranch's operating unit, Drake Land & Cattle Co and combines the " D " brand used by Don Drake with the " - 1 " brand used by his son Kenneth Ewing Drake to create the modern and stylized Bar D brand. The Bar D, D and Bar One are all used by the present day Drake Ranch which is owned and operated by the descendants of Don Drake.
